He has 50 years experience in field vegetables\, greenhouse vegetables\, rotational grazing of livestock\, and range poultry. He is the author of The New Organic Grower (Chelsea Green\, rev. 1995)\, Four Season Harvest (Chelsea Green\, rev. 1999)\, and The Winter Harvest Handbook (Chelsea Green\, 2009)\, which has been translated into both French and German editions. He is also co-author of The Four Season Farm Gardener’s Cookbook (Workman\, 2012). With his wife Barbara Damrosch he owns and operates Four Season Farm\, a year-round market garden in Maine\, where they produce exceptional food\, study how to make their production practices more sustainable every year\, and design scale-appropriate equipment to aid other small farmers in achieving greater efficiency. In 2016 Eliot received a lifetime Leadership Award from the James Beard Foundation. \n \nEliot will be available for book signing during the conference – if you would like to pre-order one of his books they are available from the UP’s very own independently owned Snowbound Books at www.snowboundbooks.com.
